Preparation
A comprehensive consideration of all possible positions and configurations of the Lift Bed is very important as this cannot easily be changed in the future.
This will be made concrete during the first appointment with a specialist in the field of interior and Lift Bed installation.
This makes it clear which furniture is needed and where exactly the bed + counterweight are placed.
Important: All necessary furniture, slatted frame, mattress and bedding must be present before the installation day. To be able to carry out the installation + adjustment of the Lift Bed properly.

Professional installation
The Lift Bed is professionally installed in 1 day. We use tools such as:
- Wall scanner for searching for pipes in the ceiling.
- Self-levelling line laser for positioning the pulleys.
- Concrete drill with dust extraction.
- Certified pressing tools for mounting the steel cables.

bastard proof
By designing with loads 10 times higher than the actual loads, it is a robust and safe system. For example:
- The 4 steel cables together can carry 2200KG (normal load < 160KG),
- The individual steel wire connection to the bed has been tested for a 400KG+ load capacity (normally < 40KG)
- Bearing load concrete anchor of the pulley is 400KG+ (normally < 40KG).
Lots of jumping and frolic :)

Stability
Explanation of 4 aspects:
- When stationary: The Lift Bed remains always in place due to the friction inherent in the system. This is because a muscle force of about 5 kg is needed to move the bed down or up. It works because the counterweight and bed (including mattress, slatted frame and bedding) are precisely balanced with small weights in the bed frame.
- In Motion: As seen in the GIF, the bed moves without rocking or tilting. Even when one of the corners of the bed is pressed. This is because the entire bed frame is connected to the relatively much smaller counterweight. This is the absolute advantage of the design. No complicated and expensive guide rails on the wall are required.
- In sleeping position: The bed is basically weightless. However, as soon as someone lies/sits on it, the bed cannot move in any direction. Because of the extra weight. Just like on a normal bed. You can do anything you want on it.
- The furniture on which the bed will rest must all be exactly the same height: Choose from stable, strong and possibly adaptable furniture is important. We help with this. The Lift Bed with the small counterweight has a minimum lower position at 11cm from the ground (34cm with standard counterweight).
- Examples of choice of furniture: Suitable side tables have legs made of solid wood and unsuitable side tables have, for example, a mix of pressed wood + cardboard (such as IKEA Lack series). Another is a sit-stand desk. This one in the demo room has the lowest position of 61 cm, which is lower than many alternatives, so that the entry of the bed is low enough. The positions can also be electronically programmed for ease of use.
During the installation preparation, extensive assistance is provided in finding suitable furniture and options are devised for possible adjustments.

Counterweight
The location of the counterweight is completely independent of the location of the bed. It can therefore simply hang next to the bed, but it can also be hidden/built into a corner of the room (max 500cm distance between bed and counterweight). The space below and above the counterweight must be completely free.
There are 2 options for counterweight selection:
- Default | 73 liters | 35x35x60cm | max 120KG | Content: Concrete tiles.
- Small | 34 liters | 29x30x41cm | 160kg max | Contents: Steel. This option is more than 2x smaller and still has a greater weight. This makes the lift bed suitable for a heavier mattress + slatted base + bed linen (up to 84 kg instead of 44 kg). The bed also has a minimum lower position at 11cm from the ground instead of 34cm with the standard counterweight.

Dimensions and design
- Lowest position Lift Bed (minimum height between floor to bottom of bed) > Counterweight small: 11cm Counterweight standard: 34cm
- Highest position lift bed > distance from ceiling to bottom of bed: 39cm (with mattress height + slatted frame + blankets 28cm or less).
- Bed platform height (side): 25cm
- Internal height of structural part of bed on which slatted base rests: 11cm
- Maximum distance counterweight to bed: 500cm
- Maximum ceiling height: 350cm
- Structural, load-bearing bottom
- Bearing pulleys
- Plasticized steel cable 3mm
- Oak furniture handle
